Lone Pine Death Valley Airport Open House,

Sunday, October 5, 2025, 10 AM - 2 PM

We finally finished the renovation of the Lone Pine Airport Terminal Building. We invited the local community for a day of touring the new terminal, listening to the music of “Ukelele and Beyond”, and telling stories and meeting new people. Many of you flew in from as far away as San Francisco. The hanger with our Youth & Avaition Program was open for a tour of our half built plane waiting for some young folks to finish it. We want to thank all of you for coming out and sharing our incredibly hard work.

Young Eagles Rally at Lone Pine Airport - May 31, 2025 (8am - 11:30am)

24 Youth between the ages of 8 - 17 met at the Lone Pine Airport for airplane rides above the Owens Valley. Pilots gathered at the Lone Pine Airport to give an airplane ride to youth as a way to explore all the possibilities that aviation has to offer through the Young Eagles Flight Plan program. The Young Eagles has a series of valuable resources and enriched learning opportunities that can get your child’s future off the ground.

Fly Ins

If you have a group putting together a fly in that plans to come to Lone Pine, let us know and we’ll post it here. We are interested in having some events this year where folks with experimental airplanes can display their flying machines to the public and receive a participation certificate for tax purposes. If you want in on organizing this, reach out.

The Lone Pine Death Valley Fly-In happens in October and is not a part of our programming. But we do attend!
